Babies!!!

My sister had her beautiful baby, Gemma Jenay this past weekend!!! She went into labor naturally only one day after her due date which is pretty remarkable given family history.  Also, Gemma was only 7 lb 14 oz and 20.5 in SO small for us!  We got to go to Ihop and Gymboree while she was in labor that day and then she had her later that night.  Gymboree was having a good sale....:) Anyway, Gemma is so cute, especially when she is mommy-milk wasted as Shannda says.

And Niko has been doing pretty well with her so far.  As far as I can tell at least...

And then I had my OB appointment on Tuesday.  I didn't have my usual doctor, but had my Strep B culture done.  Anyway, this doctor said that I was measuring small and that my cervix was closed and high.  So, he had the ultrasound technician do a quick ultrasound on me to check on size.  I knew that the baby was still moving a lot, so I wasn't super worried.  During the ultrasound they found that the baby is breech:( and she is only in the 15th percentile for weight.  I am trying not to worry too much, but I've never scored that low of a percentile on a test in my life!!! And I am just praying for the baby to turn in the next four weeks.  Hopefully since she's so small she'll have more room to turn herself around.  Other than that, Adam just makes me eat a lot:( He won't finish my food for me anymore:(

Luckily, my gramma went and got some small baby clothes for Gemma and her soon-to-be cousin since they are both much smaller than expected!  Also, she fed me Chinese food tonight.  Thanks, Gramma:)

Other than all the baby news, we're both just trying to push onward towards the end of the semester.  Only 4 more weeks left of school!  Not that I'm counting or anything...

Also, Gemma had a TON of hair!  But the ultrasound technician said that our baby might give her a run for her money because she already has enough to see!

  1. I measured small with most of my babies so don't worry to much. Also the later ultrasounds are not as accurate as on weight. I was assured that Zander would be no bigger than 7 pounds when they did an ultrasound two days before he was born. They were WAY off. I hope you get a small baby though. :) Aiden was breech at 38 weeks, but he turned. They can also try to turn them, they were going to do that with Aiden but he turned on his own. We will pray she turns!

    1. That's good to know! I didn't know that Aiden was breech, or that Zander was supposed to be small..Very reassuring:)
