I saw this idea on Pinterest of how to get yellow stains out of white clothes using a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and dawn. I tried it a few weeks ago on Adam's short sleeve shirts and it actually helped a lot. So I decided to do it again, but was more ambitious this time. I got all of Adam's and my dad's white shirts (8 total) and scrubbed away on them for a little more than an hour last night. Then I let them set all night and while I was at work. When I got home I just threw them in the washer so I could get them hung up in the sun as soon as possible. I got busy with some other things when I walked by and noticed that the washer had paused. I tried to restart it thinking maybe my dad had messed with the power while he was working on the sprinklers. It wouldn't do anything so I finally opened the door and barely got a look inside when bubbles came spilling out.
It looked somewhere in between this:

Don't worry, Mom. I got it all sorted out eventually. :)
